Last Thursday, Matter Of Form were delighted to partner with GDR Creative Intelligence to present ‘Through the Looking Glass: A Brave New World of Hospitality’ breakfast event at The Ivy Market Grill with the likes of TUI, One Fine Stay, Point A Hotels, Taj Hotel and Belmond attending.
At MOF, we have a deep-rooted passion as well as lots of experience in the hospitality and travel industry. The sector is fast growing, it provides exciting branding and digital opportunities to transform the customer experience. The event was aimed at uncovering examples and insights into how to do this effectively.
Kate Ancketill, founder and CEO of GDR, provided insight into hospitality in the age of the digital consumer through a number of different case studies. Her insights included: the concept of being ‘alone together’, the power of physical spaces to give a brand substance, definition and room to grow as well as how digital behaviours can create new opportunities for physical spaces.
Anant Sharma, CEO of Matter Of Form Group, offered his expertise and guidance on how to succeed within the sector through user-centric branding approaches, leveraging ‘non-owned’ services to increase brand value and data/technology driven personalisation.
The presentations were concluded by a dynamic panel discussion with Kate, Anant and GDR’s innovation strategist, David Dalrymple-Pryde. There was great engagement across the audience and plenty of questions.
