One half of MOF’s creative duo, Marcus is an award-winning designer with a relentless drive to do great work. He runs Matter Of Form’s design department with Brand Director Nicole du Toit, focusing on digital, craft and CX to drive value and create globally recognised work, not only for its quality but for the change it drives for people and markets.
About
Marcus is a problem-solver. Just instead of words and numbers, his work employs visuals and behaviour to produce desired outcomes. He’s driven by the benefits of outcomes and loves seeing how the fundamentals of design and craft can affect both business and consumer.
An extroverted introvert, Marcus has held a variety of roles, starting out in creative before moving into design strategy and innovation. He’s worked with the likes of British Airways, Aston Martin, Greyhound and Savills. He’s led teams. He’s won awards. But coming to Matter Of Form was a decision made in the name of craftsmanship, quality of work and a desire to be part of a studio where doing progressive, groundbreaking work is more than just a job.
Now Marcus collaboratively leads an incredibly versatile team working across accounts like Wilderness, Zaha Hadid Architects, Accor, Knight Frank, Dr. Martens and Dorchester Collection while simultaneously driving the development of MOF’s proprietary Brand Interactions™ methodology alongside senior creative leadership.
A lover of the finer things in life yet inspired by everything, Marcus is without question one of the two best-dressed creatives in our studio. He’s fascinated by historical design – looking back at eras gone by and the cycles that churn – as well as mountains or anything that dwarfs the scale of ‘human’. Outside of work, he spends time running, exploring London’s finest foodie offerings and volunteering with Shelter.
